Product Description
The nVent HOFFMAN MAD Series is a robust, floor-standing enclosure line with double doors, designed for housing electrical and electronic equipment in industrial settings. Built from durable mild steel, this enclosure series offers superior protection and flexible space for larger setups. It ensures reliable performance in demanding environments and is perfect for indoor use where high ingress protection is required.
nVent HOFFMAN MAD Series enclosures offer wide-access double doors, strong mild steel build, and IP55-rated protection for floor-mounted industrial applications.
Features:
Material: Body is made of 1.5 mm mild steel. Gland plate is 1.4 mm mild steel. Door is 2 mm mild steel. Mounting plate is 2 mm galvanized steel, or 2.5 mm for MAD1001030R5 and larger.
Body: Enclosure is seam welded and folded. Four 8.5 mm wall-mount holes are pressed into 20.4 mm ” 2 mm recesses. These recesses help air circulate behind the enclosure for better ventilation.
Door: The door is surface-mounted and opens up to 130. Hinges are concealed and removable with a captive pin.
M6 welded studs inside mount MMDP door profiles. Each door includes two removable mounting profiles.
Sealing is ensured by a one-piece, injected polyurethane gasket for reliable protection.
Lock: Features a customized double-bit lock for easy access. Lock includes 3 mm insert and offers 90 rotation.
A three-point espagnolette locking system adds security. Optional inserts are available separately as accessories.
Mounting Plate: Vertical markings every 10 mm simplify equipment alignment. Top and bottom holes support easy cable fixing.
It is mounted on M8 welded studs at the rear.
From 800 mm and above, folded edges add strength. AMG accessory adjusts the plate depth as needed.
Gland Plate Opening: Located at the enclosure„s rear for easy cable entry onto the mounting plate.
Protection: Rated IP 55, TYPE 12, and IK 10 for robust protection. For outdoor use, rain hood, polyester paint, and anti-corrosion primer are recommended. Always consider corrosion resistance for indoor and outdoor use.
Finish: Finished with RAL 7035 structured powder coating for a clean, professional look.
Delivery: Includes the enclosure with door and mounting plate (not for PER5 items).
Comes with two door profiles per door, gland plates, gaskets, 3 mm key, accessories, and earthing provisions.
