Product Description
The nVent HOFFMAN MCS Series offers premium-quality modular floor-standing enclosures made from painted mild steel. These enclosures are designed to house electrical and automation components in industrial environments. With an IP55 protection rating, they ensure excellent resistance against dust and water, helping to extend the life of your equipment.

From 1400 ” 800 ” 400 mm to 2200 ” 1000 ” 800 mm
Features:
- Material: The frame is made from 1.5 mm painted steel, while the door is 2 mm thick for added strength. Rear, roof, and side panels use 1.5 mm painted steel, and the mounting plate is 3 mm galvanized steel. The bottom plates are 1 mm galvanized steel, providing a stable base.
- Frame: It features seam-welded, reversed open profiles with a 25 mm hole pattern that follows DIN 43660, and it includes an integrated external hole pattern for ease of assembly.
- Door: The door is mounted on four hinges, allowing both left or right-hand opening, and comes with an internal door frame with a 25 mm hole pattern for flexible equipment mounting.
- Rear Panel: The rear panel is secured using M6 torx screws and is compatible with standard rear door mounting; the RD version includes a rear door instead of the panel.
- Side Panels: These panels are available as accessories and can be installed as needed depending on the enclosure configuration.
- Roof Panel: The top panel is designed to be removable, making it easier to manage cable entry or modifications during installation.
- Locking System: A 4-point espagnolette locking system ensures secure closure without occupying internal space. It includes a 3 mm double-bit lock insert, with options to upgrade using cylinders, T-handles, or lift handles.
- Bottom Plates: The enclosure includes three or four bottom plates depending on depth (more than 600 mm gets four) for flexible cable entry options.
- Mounting Plate: This double-folded galvanized steel plate slides into place and can be adjusted in 25 mm increments using the MPD02 accessory. It is supplied externally with the enclosure packaging.
- Earthing: All enclosure panels are grounded via their mounting fixtures and also include a separate earthing stud to ensure electrical safety.
- Finish: The enclosure is powder coated with a structured RAL 7035 finish, offering both durability and a clean industrial appearance.
- Protection: It meets IP55, IK10, and TYPE 12 protection standards, making it suitable for use in demanding industrial environments.
- Mounting Requirements: The enclosure is delivered ready for bayed installations. For stand-alone applications, side panels must be added separately.
- Delivery Package: Each unit includes a pre-assembled frame, fitted door, rear panel, roof panel, bottom plates, mounting plate (except in PER5), and earthing bolts. Enclosures wider than 400 mm include all components, while 2200 mm tall variants come with additional CMB profiles for depth mounting. The pallet matches the enclosure width to enable baying without removing the enclosure.
