Product Description
The nVent HOFFMAN ASR Series Stainless Steel Single Door Enclosures are designed to offer high corrosion resistance and reliable protection in challenging industrial and hygienic environments.
These wall-mounted enclosures come with a pre-fitted mounting plate and IP66 protection, making them ideal for indoor or outdoor control systems in industries like food, beverage, pharma, and wastewater treatment.
They ensure maximum equipment safety and long-term durability in spaces where frequent washdowns, moisture, or chemical exposure is a concern
Features:
- Material: The enclosure body is manufactured from high-grade 1.5 mm stainless steel (AISI 304L or 316L). The door is 2.0 mm stainless steel for added strength. The mounting plate is 2.5 mm galvanized steel, providing a robust surface for internal equipment mounting.
- Body: The enclosure features a fully welded construction with precision-bent edges for extra rigidity. Rear wall-mounting holes (Ë 8.5 mm) are recessed into 20.4 ” 2 mm offset zones, improving airflow between the enclosure and the wall to help manage heat dissipation.
- Door: The front door is surface-mounted and opens up to 130 for easy access. Concealed hinges with captive pins allow the door to be removed without tools. A one-piece polyurethane foamed gasket ensures long-lasting environmental sealing. Welded M6 studs inside the door allow the mounting of internal accessories or profile rails. Two removable mounting profiles are included with each door.
- Lock: Equipped with a standard 3 mm double-bit lock for easy access and security. A three-point espagnolette locking mechanism provides uniform pressure and enhanced sealing. Optional lock inserts are available separately for customization.
- Mounting Plate: The galvanized steel mounting plate includes vertical alignment markings at 10 mm intervals for precise equipment placement. It is mounted on M8 welded studs at the rear of the enclosure. For enclosures 800 mm and taller, folded edges are added to the plate for additional rigidity. Optional AMG guide rails can be used to adjust mounting depth.
- Cable Entry / Gland Plate Opening: A gland plate cutout is provided at the bottom or rear (depending on model), allowing direct cable access to the mounting plate area. Stainless steel gland plates are included for easy sealing.
- Protection: Rated IP66 and IK10 according to IEC standards, offering excellent resistance against dust, water jets, and impact. For demanding outdoor conditions, optional rain hoods and corrosion-resistant coatings are recommended.
- Finish: Supplied with a smooth brushed stainless steel finish, suitable for cleanroom, food-grade, and pharmaceutical environments. No painting is required, making it ideal for washdown areas.
- Delivery Includes: The package includes the enclosure body, pre-installed door, and galvanized steel mounting plate. Also included are two mounting profiles per door, gland plates with gasket, 3 mm lock key, earthing provisions, and installation accessories
