FAQ's of Stainless Steel Junction Boxes:
Q: How is the stainless steel junction box installed?
A: The junction box is designed for easy installation using the included mounting brackets, screws, and cable glands. It supports wall or surface mounting, allowing flexible placement in various industrial settings.
Q: What types of cable entries are supported by these junction boxes?
A: These enclosures feature both knockout and pre-punched hole options for cable entry, making them suitable for a wide array of wiring configurations and allowing for easy customization according to your requirements.
Q: When should I opt for the screw-on versus hinged lid types?
A: A screw-on lid is ideal for installations needing extra security and infrequent access, while a hinged lid provides easier, quicker access for routine maintenance or inspections.
Q: Where can these stainless steel junction boxes be used?
A: They are suitable for a range of industrial and commercial installations, particularly where weatherproofing, dustproofing, and chemical or UV resistance are required. Common applications include outdoor electrical distribution, industrial automation, and process control panels.
Q: What are the benefits of the internal and external earthing provisions?
A: Dual earthing provisions enhance electrical safety by allowing secure grounding both within and outside the enclosure, reducing the risk of electrical faults and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Q: How do these boxes handle extreme weather or harsh environments?
A: With IP55, IP65, or IP66 ratings, a sealed EPDM or neoprene gasket, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, these junction boxes are engineered to withstand harsh weather, high humidity (up to 95% RH), and chemical exposure.
Q: What process should I follow for selecting the appropriate box size and specifications?
A: First, determine your cable entry and pole requirements, then select the desired lid type, locking mechanism, and cable entry style. Consider environmental exposure to select the appropriate IP rating and stainless steel grade (304 or 316). Custom dimensions and additional protection features such as overheating protection are available on request.
